• Adding Audio

One of the best ways to augment your blog is to ad audio to your posts. It will help you with search engine recognition and gaining traffic.

After you write a post, extract bullet points from the posts. If you don’t have Camtasia, Windows Media or Quicktime, most computers come with audio generating software.

You should read the post with a bright enthusiastic voice. If you have stories to go along with the post, they are a great addition to what you have written in your posts.

Once you’ve done the recording, you can download Audicity free and use it to edit your file in case you have long pauses or want to anything you want to edit out of the program.

Once you’ve completed the editing be sure and save it as an .mp3 file. You should have a particular page for both your audios and videos. When you add the audio version to your post, be sure to add it on the Audio page as well.

Many people who enjoy listening rather than reading blogs will appreciate you having the audio files all in one place.

The rule of thumb is to add one audio and one video file every single week. When I add a post, I add the audio file two to three days later and the video file two to three days after that. That ends up keeping the visitors consistent rather than the majority of your visitors only on one day a week.

I have tested this in every possible combination and from what I’ve found, it keeps your ranking and traffic up when you ¬†adding information to your blog every couple of days.

By now you should know Audio and Video drastically improve your Blog’s relativity and increases your traffic more than any other enhancement you can apply.

I add at least one audio or a video each and every week. Most often they are videos I have recorded on my Flip video or they might be small sections of speaking engagements I have recorded.

It’s my testing each of the 24 Blogs I have over the past six months that has lead me to understand the credibility of having media on my blogs. I have tried entering a post only and it cuts the traffic in half.

If you don’t have a Flip video camera, go to YouTube and open an account. No matter what your blog topic might be, you’ll find a few hundred videos on the topic. What I do is look for the one that doesn’t mention a competitor or¬† competitive viewpoint from mine and I make sure it has a lot of traffic. Placing the video on your blog every week will double your traffic.

Blogify is an audio program you can download to hear the actual steps it takes to transfer files from your computer to your website/blog.
